“My husband and I just got married at the end of July. We picked In The Mix because of the price and the awesome reviews In The Mix had online. I must admit that I booked In the Mix on a whim - I hadn't ever talked to anyone who booked them or heard what they had to offer. When I spoke to Matt on the phone, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. We didn't give much direction in terms of a play list - just more general genres. When the day came, I was super satisfied! I had SUCH a great time at my own wedding and I got several compliments from guests afterwards about how much fun it was. A few said it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to and it was mostly due to the music that was played. I highly recommend Matt. "When it came to deciding on a DJ for our wedding reception, it was even more difficult than it would be for the normal couple. My wife’s brother passed away a few years ago. He was a DJ for quite some time. It was certainly a very difficult thing having to think of somebody else being the DJ for our wedding, and you can also imagine we might have been even more critical than normal. A friend of my wife’s recommended that we talk to In the Mix. We ended up meeting Matt and instantly felt that comfort level from him. He was very professional, and also gave us the feeling that he would have everything under control come the wedding day. He also had very reasonable rates. We hired him on the spot. He was on top of everything from the start. We got plenty of follow ups thru phone calls and emails leading up to the wedding day. He showed up early to set up, had the music playing at a perfect level during the cocktail hour, and transitioned perfectly into the reception hall come introduction time. He also did a great job in pronouncing the wedding party’s names. Lastly, Matt did a perfect job of playing all the songs we wanted him to play, along with getting in the right type and amount of the requests from other wedding guests. We found In the Mix Entertainment online while searching the Joliet area and researched them a little further. Their owner, Matt, was very helpful in explaining all the services his business had to offer. He volunteered to sit down with us, go over our plans, offer advice, and provide exceptional professional services for our needs.
